Every day, I coach entrepreneurs on how to use digital tools to help their businesses succeed online. I provide strategically focused 1:1 coaching and consulting with the sole intention of making their businesses more efficient, profitable, and successful online.

Marketing coaching and consulting; I meet with the marketing team weekly to strategize and coach on implementing international marketing campaigns to grow market share and brand awareness. Coaching and consulting sessions are held remotely online with the team. I am also responsible for managing the website and other digital marketing platforms.

I am responsible for defining, analyzing and improving the sales, marketing, operations, digital tools and business processes for our clients’. My typical week includes; - developing applications in Microsoft Excel and PowerApps aligned to business and stakeholder requirements,- designing and developing new websites, mainly on WordPress with custom front-end using HTML and CSS,- creating digital marketing and social media strategies according to best practices using the 7S framework,- training clients in their IT and digital tools to improve productivity and efficiency,- facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions on-site at customers premises,- managing multiple projects in parallel using Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodology,- creating live and interactive BI dashboards using Power BI, Excel and SharePoint.In the last year I have:- facilitated online and on-site meetings with clients in both Durban and Johannesburg - assisted clients to increase turnover by implementing digital marketing strategies, developing new websites, setting up social media strategies, creating content calendars and training and upskilling internal salesmen into digital salesmen and social media management professionals,- scoped, architected and migrated MDR Solutions into the Microsoft Office 365 platform. Developed a SharePoint architecture and moved the entire business to communicate through Teams and SharePoint,- developed internal mobile apps using Power Apps and Power BI (databases mainly in Excel and SharePoint Lists) to streamline internal processes such as claiming for work expenses and logging time on projects. Also built many Excel VBA applications and managed the projects end-to-end across the entire SDLC,- improved efficiency and productivity by enhancing the use of digital tools, applications and spreadsheets.

At Cloudlogic I was employed to establish and manage a brand new customer support division. I sourced, interviewed, tested developed job descriptions and hired a team of 5 customer support agents (one of which I upskilled to later become Team Leader). I set up and implemented an online ticketing solution (i.e. Zoho Desk) which was used to manage incoming support tickets, host the online knowledgebase for our SaaS products, facilitate live chat via the website and measure the team’s performance and other KPI’s. I also implemented and integrated the Zoho CRM solution for the sales team to improve communication between the customer support and sales department and allow the sales team to track their pipeline. My responsibilities included:- representing the customer service department at weekly ExCo (Executive Committee) meetings,- managing the team’s daily performance, service quality and KPI’s, - improving processes and BPMN diagrams to enhance the customer experience and shorten customer journeys, - developing digital tools and applications using Excel, Word, VBA, Microsoft Flow, etc. to automate onboarding,- preparing and organizing the staff roster (for the 24/7 online support service), - developing customer onboarding processes and training guides,- working with the marketing, UX, UI and development teams to improve customer experience,- facilitating online/on-site training sessions with customers and producing knowledge base content, - creating product demos for the sales team

After being a professional musician for many years, I noticed how musicians in my local area were undercharging for their services and were therefore not able to make music a full-time career. Once I noticed this opportunity I decided to launch a live entertainment agency which would help local musicians, bands and DJ’s earn a living from their passion by finding them more work and increasing their market value. I Need A Show supplied various types of performers to hotels, restaurants, corporate companies and individuals for functions, events and regular weekly live entertainment. Bookings were done via email, phone and online booking form on the website. I developed an online directory of all my performers for clients to view profiles and book online. After 12 months the company had grown too big for me to handle on my own and eventually I employed an operations manager, admin assistant, social media manager and web developer to assist with the overload. In December 2018 I sold the business as I wanted to change career paths and pursue my passion in business and technology.

As a professional performer and studio musician, I worked with many bands and for the last 4 years of my career, as a solo loop artist. For 2 years I performed as the resident musician of the Fairmont Hotel in Zimbali. Besides performing at multiple events, concerts, private functions, hotels and festivals, some of my corporate clients included; Deloitte, Transnet, MTN, Vodacom, Pfizer and Sage.

My formal education in music production led me to open a recording studio which originally produced music for local bands, record labels and advertising companies. After learning how to develop my own website and market the business using social media and other digital marketing channels, I started receiving inquiries from other local businesses to create online content, develop websites and manage their social platforms. It was then that the business pivoted and turned into a full-suite media production and web development agency for local small businesses, musicians and bands. In 2015, I relocated from Johannesburg to Durban and shut down the business. A few of the projects I worked on involved:- composing, recording, mixing and mastering using Cubase and Logic Pro Studio,- developing websites and e-commerce solutions using WordPress,- video production and editing using Final Cut Pro and Motion,- graphic designing of logos, corporate stationery, print media and more using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Learn@Home is a mobile music school which offers lessons in guitar, music production, bass, keybaord, drums, vocals and Logic Pro to both beginners and professionals. I have written many books for the school which I use to teach from and love the time I get to teach and inspire others to take up music as a career in whichever area they enjoy most.

After completing my Higher Diploma in Music Production and Guitar Performance through ACM London, I took a position as the Sound Engineering and Music Production lecturer at Damelin. During my time there I lectured in; Sound Engineering, Music Production, Music Theory, Acoustics, Live Engineering, Music Business and Computer Music Production.
