Responsible for the design, development and implementation of digital customer service channels at the council.

Supporting the delivery of the Council’s Digital First strategy by improving access to online services and implementing a digital skills programme to develop digital literacy across the council and the Barnsley borough.Main duties include;- Delivering digital support sessions to groups and individual members of staff/elected members.- Providing advice and guidance in relation to digital skills training and workforce development.- Delivering short courses and sessions to Barnsley residents. - Developing e-learning modules for internal and external use.- Developing ‘how to’ tutorial video’s for the spotlight intranet page and the councils website.- Promoting existing and new online communication technologies and the Councils online services.- Carrying out User Research and User Acceptance Testing and ensuring that user feedback is embedded in new designs & developments.- Managing @Barnsley_help social media accounts.- Partnership working with The Good Things Foundation, DWP, NHS and Lloyds Banking Group- Project & Resource planning Anything other digital activities on behalf of the council.
