Currently, after having resigned from my roles in LAB.MET, I am reorganizing myself to build my future career by putting my skills, knowledge and abilities at the service of companies in the metallurgical sector.

I am responsible for managing the technical staff, organizing and planning the work of the departments (laboratory and mechanical workshop) with the aim of maximizing the company's efficiency and functionality.

As technical manager I deal directly with all the activities related to the technical management of the metallurgical laboratory, the planning of activities and the supervision and coordination of technical personnel. I also dedicate myself consistently to testing activities with particular reference to metallography, failure analysis, chemical anlyses and mechanical tests.During my mandate I worked consistently to extend the number of tests covered by the scope of accreditation which went from 26 in 2017 to the current 68 (December 2023). LAB.MET. is also the only Italian laboratory to have obtained accreditation for the determination of residual austenite content using X-ray diffractometry.I have gained considerable experience regarding the analysis of castings, forgings, hot rolled products, cold forged products and welds. The metallic materials I have most often worked with are steels (all types), nickel superalloys and titanium alloys.I master the following instrumentation for which, in addition to carrying out the analyses, I took care of the qualitative/documentary aspect: spark optical emission spectrometer (S-OES), C-S determinator, O-N determinator, H determinator, universal testing machines, creep testing machines, durometers, Charpy pendulums, optical microscope, scanning electron microscope SEM and EDS. I also take care of the execution of on site metallographic replicas with subsequent evaluation byn optical or electronic microscopy.I have consistently and successfully participated in numerous interlaboratory comparisons regarding the following activities: tensile tests, Charphy impact tests, creep tests, hardness tests (HV, HB, HRC), chemical analyses on various matrices and with different techniques (S- OES + C/S + O/N + H), corrosion tests, metallographic tests (macro/micro/grain/phase/inclusions).

I have provided support to common QC activities associated with the technopolymer injection molding department.

Areas of expertise: welding qualifications, mechanical tests, chemical analyses , metallography, corrosion and environmental simulation tests. I took over the management of the laboratory orders with the related technical interface with the Customers (on the main routine customers and on all the activities attended by Customers, Organizations, Inspectors). I actively contribute to the maintenance of the quality management system as well as to its continuous development. In the period 02/2015 - 08/2015 I gave my support to the technical management of the LAB.MET Laboratory, which belongs to the METAL SERVICES Group. Activities carried out to support the daily test activity provided by the Laboratory.
