My name is Daniele, I'm a game developer based in Italy. My journey started with modding: back in 2011 I created a modding guide for TES Skyrim called S.T.E.P., which became a thriving modding community with thousands active users. I have a profound passion for game design, especially sandbox and open-ended concepts where the player isn't forced on a particular path, and where the game world is truly dynamic. I love all kinds of simulation games, and any game with deep mechanics and emergent gameplay.My skills / experiences:- Designing systems for a small game, or specific systems for a big one (combat mechanics, character progression).- Implementing and balancing complex systems (simulated ecological mechanics, hunger/thirst for survival games).- Knowledge and experience of Construct 2/3 and basic knowledge of Unity.- Knowledge and passion for videogames, especially niche, unknown indie gems.- Modding experience: I modded many games and founded a thriving modding community called S.T.E.P.- Fluent English, both written and spoken.- Highly motivated and quick learner.My main and latest work is DinoSystem, an indie ecosystem/survival simulator praised for its depth, complexity and emergent gameplay.
