My role as a Network Specialist saw my career become much more dynamic as I constantly switched workstreams in an attempt to drive operational performance improvements across the wider team.Initially starting off in the Planned Outage team following on from my previous role as a Network Engineer. The team were facing some challenges around SLA performance & low volume of deliverables. Utilising Business Intelligence and Automation, I developed a variety of solutions to assist the team. These solutions varied from back-end automation flows to handle the processing and movement of data from various systems and trackers, to Business Intelligence dashboards which translated complex data into strategic, simple information which was ultimately used to drive performance improvements.My role then moved to the Asbuilt Design team who were responsible for ensuring the logical inventories mirrored the physical live network. As part of working with this team, I assisted them with clearing backlog of activities (which was continuing to grow) whilst developing automated solutions to help free up bandwidth in the team and help them keep on top of new demands without the backlog increasing in size. The automated solutions were developed using Power Automate.My role then moved into a full time strategic digital transformation developer. I assisted the wider team in developing standardised digital solutions, migrating legacy, unfit-for-purpose excel trackers into SharePoint lists and configuring back-end automation to handle the processing of data from one source ot another. I also developed a field demand and workforce mobile app for the field based Health & Safety team. This app was utilised to assist the team in keeping in the loop with new demands whilst out on the field. The app also allowed the team to manage their workload on a daily basis, track deliverables and keep an audit log of Health & Safety related details.

During my time as a Network Engineer, I worked directly within the Fibre Integrity team. My role involved planning fibre network outages and mainteinance works on Vodafone's fibre network. I would frequently engage with various delivery teams and supply chains to orchestrate and deliver the activities.A key part of my role involved carrying out extensive traffic analysis activities as part of the planning process. This would involve interrogating various systems and inventories across the business in order to compile an accurate list of all impacted customers. Formal coms would then be sent to customers in correspondance with contractual SLA agreements.The planning work would frequently involve:- Site Closure Projects- Diversionary Works- BAU Planning Activities- Railway Fibre Network Maintenance- Overhead Network Planning (National Grid)

During my time at Walsall College, I developed learning material for the web development team. This material was deployed across the college's virtual learning environment (VLE) and assisted departments with virtual/home-based learning.
