Software EngineerHaemonetics Nov 2004 - Oct 2018Boston, Ma, Us- Built custom interfaces to and from a staff scheduling tool, using variously an internal tool that relies on xml files, and SSIS. Both methods interact directly with Haemonetics Blood Establishment Computer Systems (BECS) databases, or use csv or Excel files to move data back and forth with non-Haemonetics BECS systems and time reporting systems.- Created customer-specific code for a drive costing module within a staff scheduling tool (C#).- Built custom “print capture” interfaces (in C++), that parse data from a print stream into a format that a hospital blood management system can use.- Provided support to the Customer Support group when they were unable to help a customer with our Java-based products by researching user interface and SQL script issues and offering workarounds or estimates for proposed solutions.- Provided maintenance for ongoing blood-banking software projects (using Java and Oracle) to allow releases to be delivered to customers on time.- Created a Java software tool to extract one product’s data (blood banking donor info) – from Oracle and xml files – and insert that data into a Microsoft SQL Server database for a second product to use.- Created and modified features for a multi-tier system (Java Swing GUI, JBoss, Oracle) that automated the blood donation process, resulting in increased productivity and accuracy for blood bank customers.- Wrote SQL queries to select data for customer reports, which were formatted using Java4Less. Used stored procedures and triggers as needed.- Created step-by-step product installation instructions along with automated portion that could be understood and executed by installation group, reducing installation time by factor of 10.- Supported multiple data migrations, implemented changes, and maintained and administered problem tracking system ensuring process efficiency, effectiveness and consistency. -
