Nuova Gelmac is a small workshop active as partner for Companies that needs small quantity of mechanical components as shafts, bushes, gearwheels, pivots, flanges, special screws and other customized components.

I collaborate with Tecnoriva srl, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), Telco Services, Lmg Meccanica, People Design.

After the end of the internship program, I've been hired and I started to work as a technical writer in the mechanical division of the shipyard.During the first year I wrote user manuals of propellers, thrusters and stabilizers. All this plants were components of the cruise ships, ferries and navy ships built by the company. I did it for all the plants built by the company during the period November 2007/December 2009.At the end of 2008, I started to work with colleagues and I stated tomake drawings, BOMs, technical documents.During this period I started to work with Microstation 2D.I worked on the project of a thruster for the ship Livorno FSRU, that has been built by Saipem for O.L.T.; doing this project I started to work using the software Solid Edge 3D.During 2009, I started to work also at the data entry into the PLM software SAP.At the beginning of 2010 I moved in a new office; in that office my tasks were to think and design equipments and tools to build, assemble and test the systems designed by our technical office. One of the work that I did during this period is the design of all the equipments needed to work the Navantia submarine propeller blades.During this period I did also some R&D test project, mainly connected to lubrication plants (development of new solutions and research to modernize old projects).- Drawing production of naval plant (chiefly propeller plants, thruster systems and stabilizer systems); all the systems with mainly oil-pressure mechanisms control. - Prodution of user' s manual for the same machinery.- Design of working, lifting, assembling and transport equipments.- Production of drawings, schedules, specifications and check lists.- Workshop assistance.- Design of R&D test equipments - Control and management of project documents using the PLM program SAP.
