Worked on different projects and teams as a senior software engineer to develop their internal and public facing services: promotions and recommendations engine, consuming and transforming events from/to Kafka, exposing data through REST and GraphQL api, extending their payments services (deposits, withdrawals, etc...), devop/deployment to k8s.

Worked with Java, Spring, Kafka, AWS and kubernetes to refactor their internal systems to prepare the migration to AWS and k8s.

Worked deeply with Apache Kafka and Flink to process continuous stream of events in order to produce and enrich metadata. Using Apache Flink for batch processing too in order to ingest metadata from huge files (ETL) when dropped to a remote location. Interacting with main AWS service such as S3, EC2, Lambdas and using Mesos/Marathon as resource provisioning framework.Leading a team based in UK and overseas, making sure the code adheres to high quality standards following the right patterns, clean code, etc..., mentoring more junior devs, and still being hands on with development and devop tasks.

Involved in designing and implementing solutions and services for large scale projects for Sky and Discovery. I've also been involved in mentoring and pairing with junior developers, helping them to be up to speed quickly in different projects. Always in first line to promote clean code and discuss the best techniques to achieve high quality code.
