I experienced an environment that enabled me to thrive in terms of personal development. Being able to link academic theory and the environment of the workplace has been enlightening, supporting my academic understanding and helped me in attaining a holistic view of such a large organization and its processes. During this time, I fostered skills as an assistant manager, refining my management style and maximizing my time with the company absorbing as much information as possible. The idea of the placement was to maneuver around the company working in a range of departments and roles, anything from restaurant management, admin, customer services and training. I did however have to co-ordinate my placement as the company has never done such programs before. The overall experience I found was nothing but beneficial and put a lot of aspects of both life and a career into perspective.From this I have returned to my final year of study a highly motivated, ambitious and proactive individual, keen to start a career and progress personally and professionally.
