As a member of the CDR Associates consultant team, I work with a range of stakeholders, including community leaders, technical experts, elected officials, and the general public, to understand their interests and collaboratively integrate them into decision-making processes. Typical tasks include: project management, communication and engagement strategy and implementation, collaborative process design, meeting facilitation, and conflict resolution. CDR is a unique consulting firm that specializes in collaborative decision-making and consensus-building in the transportation, land use, and water sectors. We have been helping diverse groups succeed in reaching better outcomes on tough decisions, in often high-conflict scenarios, for nearly 40 years.

Duties Included: Working closely with an advising professor and the DU Center on American Politics to examine the news media’s role in political polarization; Responsible for conducting long-form content analysis of hundreds of media texts; Responsible for the inductive coding and organization of themes, narratives, and descriptors seen within media texts; Publication and authorship of one or more journal articles based on the findings of the content analysis is anticipated.Research Project: “A Battle of Identities: Mass Media and the Rural-Urban Divide in American Politics” was accepted to the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) Conference in Madrid, Spain (July 2019)

Duties Included: Researching and synthesizing TNC projects into accessible online content for lay audiences; Interviewing leadership teams around key initiatives; Contributing to marketing strategy meetings; Writing and editing press releases; Interviewing and hiring a graphic design firm; Assisting in video interviews for marketing materials.

Duties included: increasing sales for Loki's unique outdoor apparel; Dealing quickly and effectively with all customer questions and concerns; Utilizing a variety of marketing strategies and techniques to increase total sales (including video production, online advertising, flier distribution, communicating with customers via phone).

Duties included operating and maintaining various pieces of camera equipment with a high level of technical skill; creating professional quality content for thousands of viewers on Root Sports and other regional networks; teaming with other media professionals to ensure a high quality production for viewers and listeners.
