Communications And Engagement Director
Current- Direct all Branding, Marketing, Communications, Public and Media Relations, Community Engagement, Education, and Outreach programs. In 1.5 years, online and social media engagement have increased by 22%- Supervise communications and engagement team (staff of 3)- Develop and implement annual Marketing and Communications goals and plans in collaboration with the following departments: Policy, Watershed Science, Education, Development, and Outreach - Sit on the SYRCL Leadership and Diversity Equity and Inclusion Teams to help guide a positive culture for the organization- Create and manage departmental budget- Ensure effective cross-departmental communication and coordination- Write grants for outreach and education initiatives- Write and send out Press Releases to relevant outlets- Liaise with media: Local and National Newspapers, Social Media, Radio, and Network News- Write and Edit all content for all SYRCL media channels - website, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter (X), and LinkedIn- Plan, coordinate, and execute public outreach events- Support the International Wild and Scenic Film Festival with branding, content creation, engagement, and communications- Manage interviewing and hiring for all departments- Work with Policy Director to build public engagement strategies to ensure that the community is aligned with best practices for safety and conservation- Liaise with local and state government agencies to coordinate messaging, build relationships, and influence policy- Directed redesign and launch of SYRCL website (Wordpress)- Data collection and analysis
