My name is Daniele Mancini, I am an architect and live in Rome.I carry out my professional activity and am an independent researcher on the themes of Urban Regeneration and Solidarity and Sustainable Living. I also deal with innovation in the teaching of creative disciplines and for this I received the Italian Teacher Award - Special Mention for Innovation in 2022. I experiment with models of collaborative and ritual creativity (community based / relational design) that straddle the analogue and digital.I graduated from the University of Roma Tre and received a Ph.D. in Architectural Theory from the University of Rome La Sapienza. I received my Master in Interaction Design at the Interaction Design Institure in Ivrea (IDII) in 2004, at the time the only school in the world dedicated to this discipline. I also obtained the National Scientific Qualification for Second Level (Associate) Professor in sector 08 / D1 Architectural DesignDuring university I also had the opportunity to be trained at Stratchclyde University in Glasgow on an Erasmus grant and participated in numerous architectural workshops in the Netherlands, Portugal and Germany.After graduation I worked as an architect in Maastricht at Wiel Arets' studio and in Paris at Jokob+McFarlane's studio. I also worked in Turin with the studio Cliostraat. In 2009 I founded UNPACKED StudioI have taught at the Faculty of Architecture in Rome La Sapienza and in numerous other institutions in Italy and abroad, and since 2011 I have been teaching at the IED Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. I'm currently Course Leader BA Design at NABA Roma.Together with others, I conceived the CICCIO interactive inflatable platform, created "GranTouristas", the community project for the Venice Biennale together with Stefano Mirti and Remo Ricchetti, led the thesis workshop "I Love Piani di Zona", promoted the Manifesto per una Educazione Indisciplinata, founded the "Open Workshops of Basic Design" community, curated the Digigreen event, Festival of Ecology and Scientific Imagery, and created the school Webradio Stay Tuned Stay Cool at the time of covid, I perform artistic appropriations of the neglected public space with Urban Fields.I have held the position of Municipal Councillor in Rome and since 2022 I have been a member of the Urban Centre Commission of the Order of Architects of Rome and Province.You can follow my activities on my logbookhttps://postcardfromutopia.unpacked.it/For a less concise profile of me you can read here:https://blog.unpacked.it/danielemancini/
