I graduated from The Northern School of Art in June 2021, where I gained a First-Class degree in BA(Hons) Textile and Surface Design. I have exhibited work in multiple trade shows pitching to the entire design industry from interiors to fashion and gift. My designs have been showed at Mood (Brussels 2019), Spring Fair (Birmingham 2020), Premiere Vision (Paris 2020), New Designers (London 2021) and will be exhibiting at The Surface Design Show (London 2022). My designs are usually based around botany and plants, in particular Botanical Gardens and The Natural History Museum. I specialize in fine liner, cyanotype, drypoint, coloured pencil and digital techniques to illustrate nature. My surface patterns have won multiple design awards including winning Liberty Fabric Studio Award (New Designers London 2021), Mothpaper Design Competition (August 2021) and Dannells Lampshade competition winner (June 2021). My shortlist awards include Arts Thread Global Design Graduate Show Award (Gucci) and OPPO Lens of Inspiration Award. I’ve been featured in The World of Interiors Magazine (November and December Issues 2021), New Designers Yearbook 2021, The Northern School of Art blog, Dannells Lampshade Award Winners blog 2021 and The Design Insider Blog 2021.I have developed my design skills and now have a small business selling homeware and fabrics. I have worked with multiple clients like Graduate Collection, Liberty, Kanva Kicks, OPPO, Creative Space, Community Ventures, Gillian Arnold Ltd and Most Prominent Co. This gave me multiple freelance opportunities, galleries curation and designing fashion pieces like menswear and shoes. I have also taken part in exhibitions at Creative Space (Solo Exhibition September 2019 – February 2020), Drawing Symposium (The Northern School of Art – February 2019), Transparency Exhibition (Capital Cultures – Madrid 2021) and Arts Thread 2021I have good communication skills including the use of computers, emails, and all Microsoft office applications. I have received a Distinction* in Microsoft Learning Course 2016. I have gained excellent skills in Adobe Photoshop where I am able to do multiple repeat structures, clean and edit images and create room mockups for product boards to visualize final designs. Other great design skills include Procreate, Canva and Adobe Lightroom. Other skills include manufacture skills, Moodboard making, drawing and illustration, Screen Printing, Cyanotype, Dying Fabric, Exhibition Curation, Photography, Graphic Design, Logo Design, Web Design and some knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Interior Design.
