I currently work for De'Longhi Group as a Web System Manager.Our team is a little unusual, almost unique, as it covers a variety of roles and responsibilities that are usually spread throughout different areas.We are responsible for all Group cloud systems, their infrastructure and integrations. Our expertise primarily covers both Google Cloud Platform and SAP Business Technology Platform but we also work with other providers. All integrations are managed with SAP suites both On-Premises (SAP Process Integration) and on cloud (SAP Cloud Integration Suite, SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services, SAP Cloud Connector). We use modern technologies such as REST/SOAP/AS2 to handle integrations with third parties.We are responsible for a lot of SAAS applications such as GItHub Enterprise, SAP IBP, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP C4C and SAP SuccessFactors.Our main cloud expertise is on Google Cloud Platform where we manage dozens of projects with a plethora of different Google services (GAE, GCE, GCS, BigQuery, Datastore...) including a SAP S/4 HANA installation. Connection from and to Google Cloud Platform is implemented via a combination of both SD-WAN and Google Partner Interconnect.We manage hosting, domains, certificates and CDN (Akamai) for all of our corporate websites. Our expertise includes WAF, load balancers and reverse proxy capabilities.We manage Next Generation Firewall/SD-WAN connectivity for the whole group. Our architecture is built on Forcepoint (Raytheon) systems, we currently have more than 100 firewalls around the world.In terms of cyber security we secure all of ours assets with a set of different tools (VMDR/XDR/SIEM...).De'Longhi Group joined Google Apps for Business (now Google Workspace) in 2013 and since then our team has built many integrated web applications that also interface with our SAP systems (both on cloud and on-premises).All applications follow Google Progressive Web Apps recommendations and score an average of 98/100 on Lighthouse. Both backend and frontend use latest technologies such as auto scaling, push notifications and offline support. Backend runs on Google App Engine (Standard/Flexible) and Google Compute Engine with both NodeJS (Express) and Java (Jersey) frameworks. Both SQL (Google Cloud SQL) and NoSQL (Google Cloud Datastore) database are used along with an ORM. Frontend runs on Angular JS framework, themes follow Google Material Design specifications. Google Apps Script is also used in order to create smaller applications and interact with Google Docs and Google Spreadsheets.
