Dr. Eun is a Professor of Urology at Temple University School of Medicine, Chief of Robotic Surgery and Director of Minimally Invasive Robotic Urologic Oncology & Reconstruction at Temple University Hospital. He is the Surgical Director of Temple Hospital’s Bloodless Care Program and also serves as Director of Temple’s Robotics Training Center and Temple’s Advanced Robotic Urologic Surgery Fellowship Training Program. A diplomate of the American Board of Urology, he earned his BS from Pennsylvania State University, MD from Temple University School of Medicine, and completed a general surgery internship at Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Eun also completed a urology residency and an 18-month minimally invasive urologic robotic oncology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital’s Vattikuti Urology Institute in Detroit. He trained under Dr. Mani Menon, who is regarded as the “father of robotic prostatectomy,” originally earning the title in the early 2000s when robotics in urology was being pioneered and developed at the Vattikuti Urology Institute. Dr. Eun has performed approximately 4000 robotic procedures and is an internationally recognized thought leader in advanced robotic surgery techniques, procedure development and training. He runs a regional high volume referral practice for robotic removal of complex tumors and cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidney, ureter, testis and adrenal gland, as well as complex minimally invasive robotic reconstruction of the kidney, ureter and bladder. Dr. Eun has performed more types of urological robotic procedures (over 50) than anyone in the world, many which he has developed personally. As a result of Dr. Eun’s work, Temple University Hospital has earned “Robotic Urology Epicenter” status, a prestigious designation awarded only to a few centers of excellence in the world. This program establishes Temple Hospital as a destination center which trains surgical teams worldwide who want to come and learn our techniques.

Director Of Minimally Invasive Robotic Urologic Oncology And Reconstructive SurgeryTemple University Health System Apr 2012 - PresentPhiladelphia, Pa, UsDirector of Temple University Health System's Robotic Urologic Surgery Program: a one of a kind, high volume center of excellence for expanded application of robotics/minimally invasive surgery for a multitude of complex urologic and non urologic problems. My focus is on innovative surgical excellence, efficient surgical techniques without compromising quality, minimal incisions, minimal blood loss, fast recovery and maximizing patient satisfaction. I offer one of the most surgically aggressive and comprehensive minimally invasive urologic program in the world. I have performed over 50 different types of robotic operations for the full spectrum of urologic diseases, virtually eliminating the need of an open incision for the vast majority of cases. Within 3 years of finishing training, I built one of the busiest robotic kidney sparing practices in the world (for kidney cancer) as well as one of the largest minimally invasive surgical experiences in Jehovah's Witness patients. >Prostate cancer (Total removal, variable nerve/seminal vesicle preservation)>Kidney Tumors (Total removal or organ preservating)>Bladder cancer (Total or partial removal with extensive lymph node dissection)>Uretero-pelvic junction obstruction (reconstruction using 3 holes)>Horseshoe Kidney Surgery (UPJ obstruction or tumors)>Ureteral Abnormalities/Blockage/Tumors (possible organ preservation with reconstruction)>Adrenal Tumors (Total removal or possible organ preservation)>Fistula of Bladder/ureter (+/- radiation, with complex reconstruction)>Testis Cancer (Retroperitoneal lymph node dissection)>Bladder Abnormalities (Organ removal or reconstruction)>Robotic Living Donor Nephrectomy>Robotic Spine Fusion Surgery (Only program in the world- done with Penn Neurosurgeons) -

Fellowship Director Of Robotic Urologic SurgeryTemple University Hospital Apr 2012 - PresentThis is a one year unaccredited clinical fellowship open to US graduates who have completed a urology residency program. The fellowship is based on an apprenticeship model that highly focuses on a mentorship experience. Operative volume is roughly 40% prostate/bladder oncology, 35% renal oncology, 25% advanced upper and lower tract reconstructive procedures. Fellows are expected to take attending call (1/6-7), teach residents and students, be actively involved in writing and manage clinical research projects, video edit, and participate in educational meetings. Funding is available for the fellow to attend the AUA and an international meeting. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, team-oriented and amicable individual that is interested in writing, teaching and becoming a focused robotic urologic surgeon.
