I started my career at a gallery in Eastbourne dealing in East Anglian pictures. I was also involved in cleaning and conservation of oil paintings.I then went up to London, with a spell at Asprey in New Bond Street, gaining experience in jewellery and watches.From 1997, I have been an auctioneer and valuer at various firms in East Sussex, Shropshire and Nottingham.Then a freelance auctioneer specialising in the valuation of vintage, post vintage historic and collectable motorcars. My interests are English and Continental furniture , silver, jewellery, 19th century and modern British pictures; decorative arts; automobilia and vintage cars.Now self employed consultant valuer of fine art and motorcars, for McCartneys LLP in Ludlow Shropshire.
