Demand Planner | Supply Planner - Home Depot & Lowe'S (Remote)

Creating and supporting an effective collaborative demand planning process.Demand and supply planning of import and domestic resin products (~300 skus) to support sales to the Home Depot and Lowe's accounts. Annual volume ~$220M. Planning done in SAP APO.My primary focus was establishing a basic S&OP process to track performance and manage issues. I provided extensive and detailed reporting on KPI's (bias, MAPE & consumption) to drive improvements in planning and processes. I led weekly meetings where I drove collaboration on demand and supply planning and investigated root causes of errors. By increasing communication I was able to improve forecast accuracy to >80% and improve OTIF to ~90%. Additional accomplishments:* Key member of demand planning team involved in developing next-generation demand-driven POS forecasting to move toward demand-driven planning. Created several Excel models that provided item-level POS forecasts to support this process and collaborated with sales on using these.* Category Management - provided detailed reporting on sku performance and recommended changes to inventory strategies, product assortments and production to drive inventory turnover and increase sales. Significantly reduced over-forecasting which positively impacted inventory levels and production planning.Supply Planning - Worked with import team and plants in Israel to plan production over extended (90-day) lead times. Coordinated PO's with overseas plants and adjusted where product limited availability. Communicated availability to sales and customers to provide for supply transparency. MRP done in SAP.
