My current role as Business Development Director at Quantum Controls has many facets, however my key duties are;• National Account analysis and development • New customer development planning and management • Existing customer development from single account to national with all sites / branches • Sales organisation planning and development • Sector strategy development and implementation• Business plan creation and implementation • Appropriate Administration, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication and liaison to Directors and relevant staff members• Identifying keys targets, setting KPI’s and strategy to for growth in revenue and profitability • Execute the responsibilities of a company director according to lawful and ethical standards

I was responsible for the business development and account management for the UKs water and power companies, responsible for ensuring all targets are met or exceeded in these market verticals by working with others to ensure that we are in a position to support our clients technically and commercially.Quantum Controls are ABBs biggest UK partner and one of the UK's biggest suppliers of automation and instrumentation equipment, we are in partnership with ABB, Siemens, Borri and Rockwell. As well as the supply and maintenance of the before mentioned equipment, we specialise in carbon reduction, energy savings and increased asset reliability for our clients. We do this as both suppliers and as consultants depending on the requirements of the client and this work has seen us winning various awards in recent years.

My remit within this role was to develop the Electro Mechanical business for Eriks within the North East. This was a technical sales role selling both third party products with Eriks contracts and Services.I enjoyed this role and was highly successful, to the point where I had hit my annual target 6 months early.

I enjoyed a great success within this role and I was the first person in our region to be awarded to prestigious 'Making a Difference Award'.

This was a business to customer role, providing gym memberships to prospective customers both at our facilities and at corporate events. During my time as a salesman and then as a manager, we became the number one club in the North East. I was fortunate enough to continuously be our highest achiever and held the records for most sales in a month up until I left this role to pursue a career in field sales. I was also responsible for our marketing, organising various events and marketing campaigns.
