• Corporate Business Lead for implementation of Motorola Mobility’s Windchill PLM system and related Digital Design projects, supporting 1,500 Engineering users from 28 engineering teams across the globe.• Program Manager and corporate engineering process lead for fully approved $32 million PLM transformation program spanning: CAD data management, BOM management, Compliance, Change Management, Supplier Management, external supplier collaboration, ERP integration, and reporting• Managed an Engineering support teams of 32 resources for engineering administration support for product configuration, part management, prototype BOM management, change management and supplier communication, as well as product and component testing, and prototype fabrication and sourcing• Established 24 SME teams and coordinated many individual contributors in building an extensive Knowledge Management library and Lessons Learned database of product development information that saved between $20-50 million annually in development, testing, prototyping, and field warranty costs• Architect and major contributor for an optimized cross-functional Design Review process used to accelerate the development of 100’s of products and save $ millions in product development time and warranty costs• Reviewed the design of every Motorola Mobility product from 2000 to 2012, and provided expert guidance for: housings design, connectors, display integration, battery interface/charging, keypads, PCB and Flex-PCB design, antennas/Rf, molding, stamping, MIM, diecasting, machining, extrusions, hinge mechanisms, laser-welding, anodizing, painting, testing, tolerance analysis, GD&T , and 3D CAD design

• Managed Engineering teams of up to 12 mechanical engineers in the design and development of dozens of innovative mobile devices (cell phones and smart phones)• Directly coordinated and collaborated in the New Product Development for these hi-tech devices with electrical engineering, Rf/antenna, strategic components, testing, quality, industrial design, and marketing • Worked directly on NPI for these products with sourcing/procurement, manufacturing operations, supplier quality, and external suppliers, focused on supplier selection, tooling design, tooling and supplier qualification, and production ramp-up to ensure six-sigma production capability and yields• Managed the engineering team that designed the V635, first cell phone with: an SD Card, camera flash/light, dedicated digital image processor, integrated flexible PCB through the hinge mechanism, 1.3 MP camera• Managed the engineering team that delivered the world’s first metal cased cell phone, the V60, in a unique flip phone design that included an external display, stamped metal cosmetic housings and metal chassis • Designed multiple OEM cell phone products and accessories for the European market, including all project management responsibilities, including the world's first GSM PCMCIA mobile card for laptops/PCs

• Led the mechanical design of the ScanIR®, the first linescanning infrared thermometer, from early concept layouts, through full design, prototyping, testing and production ramp-up; completed in only 19 months

• Led the mechanical design for industrial equipment for the transportation industry: locomotive accessories and lay-over heaters, and door operating and safety systems for rapid transit rail (New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore)• Invented a triangular tongue-and-groove safety door edge used in rapid transit trains throughout North America
