I pitched, prototyped, developed, tested, and deployed a custom-built platform of existing services and custom-built integration code for distributing videos to subscribers via SMS or WhatsApp, retaining full visibility into click rate, viewer engagement, number of views, (including breakdown by geographic region).I developed a v1 using Node.js, Python, AWS Lambda + EC2, and buliding with Shlink, Grafana, Twilio and Docker, the system is able to deliver SMS messages to users in any timezone, at the correct local time. The back office scheduling software allows for selecting different distribution dates for different segments of clients. The self-sign up feature allows users to self-register and receive a confirmation that includes a link to their first video.I designed v2 using Figma, and wrote a specifications document that allowed us to get competing quotes. Validated the engineering approach, then supervised the development and took over maintenance / development of certain features at the end of the delivery.
