Co-Founder, Product Manager, School Teacher, Business Development Manager, Uber Driver, Trade Assistant and Student Mentor - Franco’s experience is as varied as the length of each of his former dreadlocks. Franco has a passion for learning by experience. After completing his teaching degree, Franco moved to Minneapolis where he worked in the US education market. This had a marked impact on Franco’s view of how students learn, particularly in working with one of the top student-run TV show programs in the USA. Franco brought this experience back to Perth’s southern suburbs, we he started Australia’s first student run TV show program. With no homework, assignments, or seating plan, students were encouraged to work on things they loved. This innovative approach led to working with Winthrop Australia in a BDM role for schools across WA. Using his teaching experience and natural people skills, Franco saw his portfolio grow 300% over the next 5yrs. Managing large scale device rollouts, infrastructure and software projects, teacher development programs and service contracts were all part of his daily role. Innovation was at the heart of his time at Winthrop. Schools needed sustainable change, and it was Franco’s innovative thinking and customised approach that led to the creation of a new style of teacher PD, which grew quickly across many Perth schools transforming culture from within. In 2017, Franco Co-founded SpacetoCo.com landing naturally in the roles of Product and Strategic Account management. He's a ninja when it comes to simplifying customer problems and removing unnecessary complications, and always aims to build long term value around ideas he works on, particularly when it comes to shifting City Councils mindset around facility hire and public perception of space. Franco always finds himself looking for a new challenge, particularly in the space of sustainable cultural design, simple technology integration and continuous improvement.
