My tasks included analyzing corporations (ESAB, Gustavsberg and many others) and assessing their needs for skills development, as well as helping them to fulfill the requirements of the European Social Fund (which in some cases, especially with smaller companies, included implementing or improving "equality plans" etc.), generally helping them to improve their operations, and last but not least maximizing their chances of succeeding in acquiring development funds from the European Union.

Short-term assignment where I was the Project Manager for the merger between "Hultafors AB" and its subsidiary "Wibe Stegar AB", including the creation of a conversion schedule for automated connections and adaptations between their two different business- and accounting systems. I additionally worked with acquisitions and related activities, such as creating Business Valuation models and performing "Due Diligence" to confirm all material facts in regards to the acquisitions.

Evaluated, scrutinized and performed quality assurance on a famous doctoral thesis about the Swedish Maritime Clusters, to make sure its quality and reliability was sufficient for further research and political decision-making.

Research of the Gothenburg Maritime Cluster, especially the world-unique Maritime Cluster on the small island of Donsö outside Gothenburg. World-unique in the regard that it is the region with most shipping companies per capita in the entire world. During my research, which eventually was published as a book ("Donsörederierna - Från dåtid till framtid", English: "The Donsö Shipping Companies - From the Past into the Future"), I examined the factors explaining the emergence and success of the Donsö shipping companies and also the threats and opportunities facing them in the future. The research was largely based on qualitative research, i.e. in-depth interviews with shipping company owners, employees, consultants, politicians, union leaders, lobbyists and other decision-makers related to Swedish maritime politics. The research was published as a book in the Summer of 2007 (ISBN 978-91-7246-250-2).
