About Daniel Gahr
My wife and I own and operate multiple hospitality establishments in Oakland, CA. Our first, Bar Shiru, is the first hi-fi listening bar in The Bay Area and one of the first in the U.S. when we opened in 2019. Gold Palm is a tropically-infused neighborhood bar and restaurant serving Pakistani-inspired small plates alongside a sustainably-minded bar program that includes creative cocktails and hyper-local beer and wine. Moonglow is a "secret" bar within Gold Palm. It's a moody, Deco-inspired cocktail den serving Martinis of all stripes with an edgy, contemporary soundtrack. We work to build and strengthen an active and engaged community at the intersection of music and hospitality. Previous life as a Creative Director at Pandora, where I spent nearly eight years building and leading multi-disciplinary teams that created content for some of the biggest artists and brands in the world. I also make music and DJ under the name GAHR.
