Leading a multidisciplinary team of Android, iOS and Backend engineers to carry out several mobile software projects as well as support their careers growth.I work also as their link with other teams at the company (i.e. Product, UX, UI, QA, Hardware and Firmware) in order to organize and improve our relationships with them to build a highly collaborative environment.Some of the projects I have been working on in this period are:- WHITE LABEL CAMERA: BQ was acquired by VinGroup in 2019 so I was responsible for creating an international team of software engineers based on Madrid and Hanoi. The goal was to evolve BQ Camera to create a white label solution that worked on both BQ and VinGroup smartphones.- PERSONAL SECURITY WEARABLE: since 2019 I have been working on a new project for personal security and social collaboration supported by a wearable device. The business logic is carried out by a software stack in which Android and iOS mobile apps interact with a serverless architecture built on top of Google Firebase and other BaaS tools.

Working as Android lead of a team focused on developing high quality products following agile methodologies (i.e. Scrum and Kanban) in areas such as camera, robotics, Internet of Things, 3D printing, Smart cars, eBooks ecosystem…Some of the main projects I have been working on are:- BQ CAMERA: the official camera application installed in 2M+ devices (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bq.camerabq).- WITBOX GO!: revolutionary 3D printer (https://www.bq.com/witbox-go) focused on simplifying the 3D printing experience by using the mobile app Zetup.- ZOWI: an educational robot (https://www.bq.com/zowi) to help kids discover technology and coding fundamentals through a gamified app that interacts with the robot via Bluetooth (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bq.zowi)- EBOOKS ECOSYSTEM: a white label project capable of supporting more than 30 clients with Nubico (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bqreaders.reader.nubicoapp) and Fnac (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bqreaders.reader.fnac) being the most important ones. - CONCEPT CAR: collaboration with Antolin Group to design a prototype of a future smart car concept where a multimedia and IoT system based on Android was built (https://www.grupoantolin.com/en/innovation).- HALU: a smart lamp controlled via your smartphone that worked also as a WiFi extender (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXBOzac4uaQ).Technically speaking, I have encouraged the use of SOLID principles and powerful architectures (e.g. CLEAN, MVVM, FLUX/REDUX...) in our apps, as well as reactive and functional programming and dependency injection patterns among others. In addition to this, I have closely collaborated with the QA team to increase the code coverage of our projects using testing tools like JUnit, Mockito, Robolectric and Espresso to achieve unit, integration, view and smoke tests, accomplishing this way a crash rate less than 1% in our products.

Due to the acquisition of BQ by VinGroup holding in Q4 2018 to support the creation of VinSmart, a new branch focused on consumer electronics, I was responsible for creating the Android Apps Software team. To do so, I had to coordinate a multicultural team of engineers both in Hanoi and Madrid, as well as establishing software development mechanisms and agile methodologies.

Thanks to the collaboration between BQ and MasMovil, I created and led the Mobile Apps Chapter corresponding to the IT Tribe in Grupo MASMOVIL to build the "Mi Yoigo" and "MásMóvil" apps.The chapter was composed by a multidisciplinary team of Android, iOS and Backend engineers.

Co-founder of ZITLDev (mobile development), Zombies In The Lab (mobile entertainment and games) and ZITLschool (mobile development teaching).As ZTILdev member, I have been working in several third-party projects with customers such as Telefonica, Generali, Voxgen, Lime, Booyah! or Zanskar Productions to create mobile applications both native and HTML5 multiplatform.As Zombies In The Lab member, I developed several successful applications for Google Play, being the most famous the game "DroidPet Widget" with 500K+ downloads all over the world, reaching the first position in “Games for widget on Android” category in 2011. Also designed and developed Temporis, a turn-based mobile multiplayer game built on top of Parse.

I was responsible for the Android module corresponding to the "Master of Mobile Devices Software Engineering" provided by the Alfonso X el Sabio University of Madrid.

Research grant at the Telematic Systems Engineering Department (DIT) of UPM, working on the incorporation of Proactivity into Mobile Context-Aware Recommender Systems.
