My journey into the tech space started in late 2005 when I began tinkering with Myspace layouts. I grew a huge interest and spent most days on Youtube learning basic web development. Shortly after, about 2007, I started a network of sites providing free Myspace layouts and codes to customize profiles and truly make them your own. I had my runs at MLM, and even started a web hosting company. I’ve taken a hacker approach to everything.In 2010, I started a web design company to house my freelance work. In 2011, I merged with a competing web firm and Co-Founded DesignFluxx, LLC with my partner Scott in Apple Valley, CA. As a digital agency we provided everything from web design/development to marketing strategy and web hosting. Working together, things really ramped up. In 2013, we relocated the company to sunny Long Beach, CA and continued to push forward. In 2015, we “pivoted” the agency into a blend of a venture capital firm and a product development agency. We began only taking on projects that we had a vested interest in, vs. solely client projects. Our clients from that point on became our partners. We then acquired ROMWOD, which originally was a client of ours. With the combined talents and efforts of our partners and staff, we’ve been able to expand the company to include users in 52 countries, become a 2016 + 2017 + 2018 Reebok CrossFit® Games Official Sponsor, a partner of the 2017 + 2018 Wodapalooza Fitness Festival in Miami, and was recently featured on Forbes.com. We also acquired a yoga streaming website, Yoga30. More on that soon!In 2016, we created Spektr, Inc. with a strict mandate — to create disruptive, scalable products, the bootstrap way. Recent projects include 3Chords and Diverge Holdings.It’s been quite the journey so far and to this day there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not diving into something completely new. Whether that’s dabbling in a new coding language, UI design, or growth strategy. I’m always up for a challenge.
