About Daniel Gellert

At my core, I am a builder and an operator. I’m currently the COO at Skiplagged, a growth-stage travel company. Prior to Skiplagged I was a venture capitalist and then founded GateGuru, which was successfully acquired by Tripadvisor. My 8 years at Tripadvisor were highlighted with leading large teams/P&Ls as a Vice President and General Manager. While my roles have expanded over time, the commonality in these roles is around a focus in 3 core areas which I am deeply passionate about: 1. Creating and leading high-performing teams, 2. Delivering cross functional operational excellence 3. Achieving growth through strategic product innovation. Each of these represent an area that is deeply complex, but when they work, that's when the magic happens. And that's what I love doing and leading.
