The Education and Training Working Group advises the CEO of the NHMRC through the NHMRC's Research Quality Steering Committee on:1. The development of guidance for NHMRC-funded institutions concerning competencies required to ensure the conduct of high-quality health and medical research, and 2. How institutions can develop effective and continuing education and training programs for researchers so that researchers have the necessary competencies to conduct high-quality research. Set up and management of single-site investigator-led and multi-site cooperative group sponsored clinical trials in radiation oncology. Of my current portfolio of trials, the majority are multi-site studies sponsored by members of the Cancer Cooperative Trials Group (TROG, ANZUP, ANZBCTG & AGIGT) investigating novel interventions for patients with early and advanced genitourinary, breast, lung and upper GI cancers.

• Joint coordination of over 350 patients across 6 ongoing investigator-led trials, ensuring compliance with trial protocols and ICH GCP, TGA guidelines and the NHMRC National Statement;• Instruction of incoming participants and their carers;• Organisation of trial documentation, participant screening and consent visits and admissions;• Arrangement of radiological and pathological investigations through liaison with principal investigators, the MDT and external laboratories and imaging centres as per trial protocols;• Handling of trial documentation and entry and tracking of electronic research data;• Ethics submissions and HREC correspondence through Velos eCompliance;• Research protocol and CRF development;• Preparation of progress and final reports;• Liaison with sponsors for all trial related activities including monitoring visits, data query resolution, audits and other participant or site related issues;• Monitoring of study related finance and budget milestones, invoices and payments;• Collaboration with Epworth's philanthropic foundation to develop and submit applications for competitive grants;• Overall provision of excellent, safe, supportive, non-discriminatory and ethical services to patients.

• Treatment planning and delivery of radiation therapy using Varian record and verify and treatment planning systems and linear accelerators;• Provision of support and education to patients and their carers during radiation planning and treatment;• CT-simulation and planning for electron mark ups, 3DCRT, DIBH and IMRT techniques;• Construction of personalised patient build up and electron shields; • Treatment of patients with conventional and frameless stereotactic image guidance;• Supervision of radiotherapy students and interns.
