I am a Climate Scientist at Climate Central studying climate change, sea level rise, and extreme weather events. I am specifically interested in science communication, as well as exploring how climate can affect the well-being of coastal communities through environmental hazards such as hurricanes and sea level change. I formerly studied as a postdoc at Rutgers University (2018-2021). I have a Doctorate in Atmospheric Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2018), and Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from the Florida State University (2012).I am interested in a variety of earth system topics. These interests include artificial intelligence and machine learning, extreme weather, climate change attribution science, the future of ice-sheets and their contributions to sea level rise, the thermal structure of the tropopause region and its implications for the climate system, and tropical cyclone intensities. I’m also interested in coastal risk management and adaptation, environmental policy, and science communication.
