I am a passionate Architectural designer, and co-Director of Architecture Unknown Ltd. I am also a graduate of the Manchester School of Architecture, and Scott Sutherland School of Architecture. I have a BA in Architecture and BSc in Architectural Technology, while I also spent 2 years Studying Civil Engineering. For me experiencing as broad a spectrum as possible of disciplines, cultures, cities and people is fundamental to my development as a person and as an architectural designer.My passions and values has lead me to co found and co-direct an architecture practice, Architecture Unknown Ltd. We pride ourselves on providing high quality, innovative and beautiful solutions in the bread and butter world of architecture built on strong client involvement that is also codependant on successful community engagement, ultimately creating and promoting positive social and environmental change in Manchester. In the past I have worked for Guy Taylor Associates where my role is in delivering Design and technical solutions on house extensions, office to resi projects and New house builds. My interests are Reading (architecture and light Philosophy), Football, Tennis, Tag rugby and I love to attend as many lectures (evening ones, and usually architectural based) as possible. But also love to learn from other disciplines and walks of life.Architecturally I see my self as a socially conscious architect, with a belief that architecture has not just got an important role to play in shaping our future built environment but in creating socially responsible spaces for everyone in society based upon strong community engagement and people/user focused design.I am an innovative problem solver and enjoy dissecting and solving complex issues. I have always sought the difficult path as I feel it is where the most knowledge can be learned and enjoyment found. My preferred method for architectural exploration is sketching, and for resolution a blend of Photoshop, Cad and Sketchup/revit render.
