Participated in multiple chip bring-ups. Provided enablement assistance to teams as needed.Firmware: Delivered high-quality firmware solutions for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Centriq 3000 chip-to-chip Phy interconnect. Project involved team boot-flow firmware planning, high-level design driver and test documentation with reviews, software design, implementation, test and debug.Enablement Bootchain: Provided pieces of SOC Enablement bootchain for Hawker, Centriq 2400 and 3000 server chips including T32 JTAG debugger scripts to initialize processor subsystem, Qualcomm PMICs, PMBUS Voltage Regulators and chip-to-chip interconnect for dual-chip systems.Enablement Bare-Metal: Constructed pre and post-silicon enablement bare-metal tests written in C, ARMv8 assembly and Lauterbach T32 PRACTICE scripts.
Staff Engineer, Mobile Cpu Enablement
Focused on pre- and post-silicon testing of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon mobile processors. Supported the Krait, Hydra and Kryo CPUs for chips. For Enablement bootchain, developed processor sub-system and PMIC initialization scripts. Bare-metal tests were written for interrupt controller, timer, low power modes and temperature sub-systems. Tests were written in C, ARMv7 assembly and Lauterbach T32 PRACTICE.Selected accomplishments:• Investigated low power mode test fail that escaped all verification team testing and found a chip bug that severely impacted CPU’s low power mode functionality. Verified problem was fixed in a subsequent chip revision.• Tested all SOC and CPU low power modes in RTL emulation, thus building hardware developer confidence.• Verified all critical temperature sub-system functionality, providing critical thermal-overload protection.• Provided tested processor sub-system and PMIC initialization scripts, which facilitated in rapid bring-up of chips within 1 to 3 weeks.
