Dan is a Partner in Baringa’s Finance, Risk & Compliance practice. Dan has over 20 years’ experience leading risk and regulatory enhancement programmes across FS, Energy, Telco, Media and FMCG sectors. His proven track record and risk and compliance expertise (across UK, Europe & the US) help him in guiding business leaders to respond to changing regulatory obligations effectively and commercially, from shaping the strategic direction through project execution and ultimately compliance realisation.Dan also leads Baringa’s Digital Risk capability and has direct experience in assessing the impacts of global regulations, mobilising programmes to respond to the heightened data privacy, security and resilience obligations and implementing enhanced systems and controls to deliver compliance assurance. Dan’s hands-on approach and experience of joining up business needs with strategic IT and data architecture components ensures a rapid deployment and mobilisation whilst driving pace and quality of work.Contributing to online and print publications, a keen author, blogger and public speaker Dan is always keen to support industry and subject matter research and analysis. Dan is a regular attendee of industry roundtables and working groups, whilst also speaking at relevant conferences spanning the risk and compliance spectrum.Previously Dan worked within the Insurance company and Lloyd’s market; designing, implementing and embedding risk management frameworks. Dan started his career working as a management consultant for Ernst & Young on various risk advisory engagements across financial services as well as working for Marsh Risk Consulting within the Financial Modelling and Analysis practice.
