As part of Dex One's digital marketing team, I was responsible for managing the editorial content of our clients' business profiles on our online yellow page site, while also utilizing SEO and SEM techniques to ensure the profiles' best possible placement on Google and other search engines. Some of my duties included writing descriptions of our clients' businesses by using a variety of resources to research the services they provide so I could best create an enticing and unique proposition for potential customers of that business. I also optimized business profiles that were not receiving the desired level of responses by enhancing the profile’s content and utilizing SEO and SEM best practices along with tools such as Google AdWords to target relevant search words to maximize the customer’s performance in Internet searches; part of this optimization included writing sponsored ad copy for Internet advertisements appearing on Google, Bing and Yahoo.

During my time at Colorado Time Systems, I worked with the engineering and marketing departments to create documents that fostered communication between the company and its customers along with documenting in-house technical processes to create more efficient assembly procedures. Some of the marketing and technical documents I created included press releases, product literature, user manuals and articles for the company’s newsletter. My work performing document control duties consisted of processing Engineering Change Orders, which document the changes of the parts and procedures regarding different products in their respective engineering drawings, schematics and assembly procedures; this work necessitated a great attention to detail, as often the changes being detailed were incredibly minute and had to be mapped over numerous documents.
