Robert Frost wrote, “I took the one less traveled by…and that has made all the difference.” Truer words were never spoken.After a 20-year career in military, law enforcement and Nuclear Security, the time came for a change on vocation. As the technical arts director for The River Church for nearly a decade, I had grown in my skills and passion for the graphic arts. It became apparent to me that I was being called into a new line of work and began pursuing my formal education in Studio arts and graphic design. To strengthen my skills and gain much needed professional training, I enrolled at Liberty University and completed my Bachelor's degree in Graphic design and studio art with a perfect 4.0 GPA in 2020.The road has not been easy. None the less, the discipline and determination instilled in me in my former employment have prepared me for and served me well in the transition from the world of tactics and defense to the world of art and graphic design.I have finally found my true calling and look forward to my continued journey on the road less traveled.
