As the Head of Product Platform rsFrame Development, I am in charge of a department of about 75 exceptionally skilled and highly motivated people. Our joint mission is to build the best Platform there is (which is called rsFrame) to enable organizations of the public and private sector to make their country or corporation as safe as possible. The rsFrame Platform is amazingly powerful and flexible, allowing us to build a complete Security application - from custom data model to adaptive, state-of-the-art the UI - in a matter of days. Whether it is police investigators, border control agents or tax fraud analysts, rola provides the IT solutions for them to excel.My experience in Agile Transformations helps the organization to achieve an Agile Setup, both on a team level, and in scaling agile processes. It is particularly interesting to find the best setup to have an agile setup for the product platform, when our customer projects and customer domains work with organizations that mostly like to engage in waterfall-based projects.

As Senior Manager of IT Development, Digitalization and Innovation, I enjoy leading an international organization with a size to soon surpass 80 highly skilled and motivated experts. We deliver Software Development Services, engage in Digitalization and drive Innovation efforts for all of Dürr Group with its 16.500 end users. On the Software Development and Digitalization side, we utilize technologies as diverse as SAP S/4 (Abap, Fiori), Microsoft M365/Azure, Nintex/K2 Workflows, Mobile for both Android and iOS, UiPath/Robotic Process Automation, Enterprise Service Bus with both WebMethods and on Azure, modern Web development, Splunk / Security Dashboards and Artificial Intelligence Development. Both our internal development teams, and our Partners, work towards creating the best value for our internal business customers. With our Innovation efforts we ensure that Dürr Group is ready for future opportunities, whether it´s in Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Digital Twin or other exciting areas.As part of that I am responsible for the Software Development Center in India, which I have also founded and led since the beginning. In 2021, we have also launched a new department there, to serve external partners, not part of Dürr Group, with Software Development and other IT Services.As someone a lot more famous than me has put it: do not go where everybody else has gone - go somewhere new and leave a trail for others to follow!

We serve 16.500 end users with solutions in technologies as diverse as SAP (Abap, Fiori), Microsoft O365/Azure, Nintex/K2 Workflows, Mobile, UiPath/Robotic Process Automation, Enterprise Service Bus/WebMethods, Web, Splunk / Security Dashboard and Artificial Intelligence Development. In the role of Project Manager I lead and coordinate big IT Projects at Dürr. When the project affects several departments or functional areas at Dürr IT, there´s a good chance I´ll either manage it directly or coordinate the responsible project manager. In particular, I manage someof the bigger SAP Projects myself (Rollouts, CarveIns, CarveOuts), with others doing the day-to-day project management for smaller IT projects. Recently, this meant successfully leading the SAP Hana implementation project für Dürr (including switching Hosting Providers - 120 people, high 6-digit budget, 5 months total). I am also in charge of improving the overall IT Project Management processes.

Contributing to building a company with a few family members and others was the most interesting, and most challenging endeavor I had done so far. We ´d set out to build the best software for data privacy officers of companies and people in the data privacy space in General - and we think we succeeded (check out Datsis and Optilearn and see for yourself!). All of this continued the story of data protection and data privacy consulting that http://www.team-datenschutz.de had begun years ago.As CTO and Head of Development I was responsible for the team that handles both the infrastructure as well as the software development and associated processes to make, operate and maintain HäckerSoft´s products and overall IT infrastructure.After selling my shares, I am now on to other ventures, although I´ll continue to consult HäckerSoft on technical matters.

Working in SAP´s Quality, Governance & Production Unit, I had end to end process responsibility for several SAP products in the role of Production Project Lead. This ranged from planning to sunsetting the products, and includes process as well as quality compliance of the products. I defined the applicable set of process requirements and quality goals the product has to meet before going public. Also, founding the Platform Validation team at SAP, I helped to tailor SAP´s quality processes towards the Partner business. In this team we provided validation services (validation is SAP´s final verification step before shipping) for SAP´s development platforms. As these platforms are primarily consumed by SAP´s partners, we interacted with software partners in our validation projects directly. Being the Service Owner, I lead a team of colleagues, including budget responsibility, and internal and external representation of our service portfolio.Quality and Delivery was my focus area, but all my responsibilities revolved around project management in the software lifecycle, and partner/customer engagement.

As a Development Project Manager, I was responsible for a team of developers, software testers, and documentation developers in the Business Information Warehouse / Business Intelligence space (16 people in total). I worked as a project manager for the product "SAP Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office" for its first two releases (more than 1000 customers in one year). I also acted as a Scrum Master for the team. Besides that, I was responsible for process compliance of the product, following SAP´s Product Innovation Lifecycle guidelines.

As the Senior Developer for SAP Business Intelligence Web Application Designer, I was leading the small development team responsible for the web design tool on SAP Netweaver Business Intelligence / SAP Business Warehouse. The technologies we used were Abap, Java and .Net (C#, VB.Net).The role progressed into process responsibilities for BI frontend team´s correction processes, making my transit to project manager happen.
