Maintain district-wide network including 40 switches, 9 servers (novell and windows), 500 PCs , VOIP, wireless and wired infrastructure. Perform monitoring and troubleshooting on devices within the district network. I also maintain a yearly budget for the Technology department. Create technology plan to implement on a 3 year basis to ensure the districts technology needs are met.

Responsible for maintaining all aspects of touch screen door control PC’s and WAN Connections at the Gib Lewis High Security Prison. Oversee the operational status of servers on site including hardware and software. Works with manufacture and other IT staff to resolve pc and network related problems. Responsible for any problems with Network infrastructure, including user data nodes and WAN Connections.

Perform daily maintenance and administration of Windows 2003/Novell Server based networks with 50+ clients. Handle all aspects of network including IVR outage reporting system, network security, user administration, Microsoft Exchange server for email and maintenance to ensure a “0” downtime network. Also worked as backup dispatcher when needed.

Provide analysis and trouble escalation for the ILEC, Transport, Data, CLEC, and Long Distance networks within TXU Communications. Responsible for the proactive maintenance of the voice, transmission and data equipment serving TXU Communications customers. Troubleshoot and monitor circuits involving T1, DS3, OC3, SONET, Frame Relay, POTS, DID and various others.

• Troubleshoot and repair customer reports within the telecommunications/data network. • Work in 24/7 NOC Environment • Performed ADSL installs and troubleshooting on various DSLAM’s in the TXU network. • Monitor alarms on NMS network and clear alarms by correcting the trouble. • Worked with all major carriers to quickly fix Network outages. • Worked with telecommunications facilities providers to resolve issues, escalating aggressively if required. • After business hours, performed a customer support role, taking phone calls and proactively notifying customers of issues.
