As a Summer STEM Teacher, I led math and computing labs for elementary to middle school campers, introducing foundational skills and hands-on projects. I developed a custom Raspberry Pi-based rover system for middle school computer science and incorporated BBC MicroBits, Raspberry Pi Picos, and CircuitPython to engage students in interactive coding activities. In math, I taught both grade-level content and competition math, preparing students for Math Olympiad and AMC challenges. I also guided students in the design and construction of small 1/2kg battle bots and facilitated model rocketry projects, teaching basic engineering, physics, and teamwork skills through hands-on experiences. I consistently supported students needing extra help, building their confidence and skills in math and computer science to ensure they fully engaged and succeeded in class activities.
