As a Nebraska native, Daniel attended the University of Nebraska for his bachelor’s degree and his graduate-level certification in public policy analysis. Daniel continued his education at Drake Law where he practiced as a student attorney for the Warren County Attorney’s Office, and later through Drake Law’s Advance Criminal Defense Clinic. Together these experiences allowed Daniel to learn criminal law from the experts, and to see the criminal justice system from both sides of the table.Following law school, Daniel traveled to Chongqing, China to study law as a Fellow at Southwest University of Politics and Law. During this time Daniel was able to study International Law from a Chinese perspective, travel throughout China, and learn just enough of the language to embarrass himself when he tries to speak Mandarin.
