About Daniel Moran
Daniel H Moran enrolled at the University of Arkansas in the fall of 1995 and graduated in 2001 with a B.S. in Computer Engineering. During college he worked as a Mechanical Engineering intern for Superior Wheel Industries specializing in Research and Development. In early 2002, he became an entrepreneur and opened a company which supported small businesses in Northwest Arkansas. Following a slump in the economy, he returned to the working-world as a Compucom Systems Engineer and supported thousands of Windows servers for Walmart. After 5 years of gaining enterprise experience, he moved onto BigFix, a small silicone valley startup which enables enterprise-level customers the ability to manage hundreds of thousands of systems; IBM acquired BigFix in 2010. While working at IBM, Daniel founded bigfix.me, a community website for customer collaboration. Ultimately, he moved onto and currently works in the cyber-security industry at one of the hottest technology startups in that field--Tanium. Tanium allows management of nearly a million systems using a single server platform. He is currently the lead product engineer for "Tanium Discover", a tool which allows enterprise-level customers to discover millions of unmanaged assets within their organization and bring them under management using the Tanium platform.
