Microsoft Software and Systems Academy (MSSA) is an intensive, full-time, 18-week program that includes academic and technical training, certification testing and practical exercises aligned to meet urgent industry needs for Information Technology professionals. The program combines college accredited academics and hands-on training, with the goal of preparing transitioning service members (Veterans) for technical opportunities at Microsoft and their partners.Obtained the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA 98-367) certification for Security Fundamentals as a pre-requisite for the Microsoft Software and Systems Academy (MSSA). This cyber security focused course was developed by Microsoft in partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense with the Department of Homeland Security.• Foundational knowledge and learning geared towards achieving SSCP• Developing Secure Windows Server 2016 and Network Security skillsets • Learning basics of intrusion detection and prevention• Learning situational awareness of network intrusions, security events, data spillage• Learning how to conduct security audits in effort to safeguard against unauthorized access to an organization’s data• Learning cyber security response basics including monitoring, analyzing, detecting, and responding to Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks • Foundational knowledge on testing, implementing, deploying, operating, maintaining, and administering infrastructure hardware and software required to effectively manage organizations Cybersecurity operational services

• Responsible for classified data collection, surveying, field supervision, topographical analysis in austere environments. • Installed and maintained personally funded satellite internet and television service during deployments. • Directly Responsible for the training and welfare of nineteen Soldiers and equipment exceeding $1.5 million in value. • Unit drug and alcohol abuse prevention leader and screener for 300 Soldiers with 0 collection errors during my tenure. • Graduated Advanced leadership, Air Assault, certified sling load inspector and unit prevention leader schools.

• Responsible for maintaining Windows based internal company network.• Built and deployed commercial backup file server.• De-conflicted incoming and outgoing customers and contractors’ schedules within 300-unit apartment complex.• Responsible for the handling of rental payments from customer to bank.

• Troubleshot Teir-1 issues on the Naval Marine Corps Intranet.• Provide helpdesk support to end-users of proprietary software. • Assisted in users having trouble with software, network and hardware issues.• Reset user passwords and administered user accounts in Active Directory.• Diagnosed and resolved end-users network and printer problems, PC hardware problems, email, internet and local area network access problems. • Operated in a fast paced D.O.D call center environment.
