As the Data Science manager of Uber's Vehicles & Sustainability team, I led a team of Data and Applied Scientists to deliver product impact through insightful analytics, rigorous experiments, and strong partnership with XFN stakeholders. I also contributed as a technical lead, focusing on broad initiatives like bootstrapping a Data Engineering team to support the Driver org and piloting adoption of Uber's experimentation platform. I collaborated closely Sr. Manager and Director peers in Product, Engineering, and Operations to craft global strategy and OKRs for the organization.

My time as a Sr. Data Scientist at Uber was wide-ranging. The first 12 months I invested heavily in building out data infrastructure for our team in Hive and Airflow, which unlocked easy & accurate dashboarding, experimentation, and analytics. I was the lead data scientist helping to develop and launch Cartop Advertising in several cities. I supported multiple initiatives within the Vehicles team such as building a marketplace to connect drivers who need a vehicle with vehicle suppliers, or optimizing financial processes to improve collection and default rates. I acted as a tech lead for my team, meaning I mentored teammates, reviewed experiment designs and read-outs, upheld the quality of analysis and metrics, served on Engineering and Product review boards, interviewed scores of candidates, and interacted frequently with leadership on strategic initiatives.
