Among other things, I am an urban designer, landscape architect, regenerative practitioner, drummer, craniosacral therapist, husband and dad. I have experience in both public and private sector, working in landscape architecture, architecture, and multi-disciplinary environmental practices in both the New Zealand and United Kingdom. My contributions have included urban strategy, leadership of design, projects and teams and practice management. I have played a key role in a wide range of projects and scales, ranging from regional green infrastructure, city centre master planning and strategic urban design, to the design and delivery of large and small scale, award winning public parks and urban spaces, and town centre streetscapes. This broad range of skills and experience enables me to work well across a range of scales and consider deliverability at the early design and planning stages.I have particular interests in regenerative development and the role of design in both mitigation and adaptation to climate change effects. I believe in co-designing environments that promote better health and well-being for people and our planet. Places which encourage community interaction, physical activity, exploration and reflection, and that deepen peoples' connection to themselves and to nature. I am a Registered Member of the NZ Institute of Landscape Architects and a Chartered Landscape Architect, Landscape Institute UK.
