Essentially my role is Right Product, Right Place, Right Time.I'm responsible for the forecasting of all retail sales which consumes over £10M of stock a week.There are 2 sides to my role as Retail Forecasting Manager. There is the day-to-day sales forecasting based on trends, propositions, merchandising and time limited offers etc.The other part is ensuring we have the best tools for stores to pre-order and demo our devices whilst working tightly to a budget to try and grow sales volume, value and customer experience within EE Retail.Alongside this, I am also a senior member within the people engagement team in our Central Operations team. This team has been put together to make people's working lives better / answer any questions that people cannot find answers to regarding employee well being.My main roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Line level forecasting of all the products we stock in EE Retail - from phones and tablets right down to SIM card• Handset launches - comms and engagement• Project support from a retail trading perspective• Managing relationships with manufacturers, supply chain and third party systems owners• Ranging decisions• Handset grading• Organising stock support for experiential activity• Regional meetings• Incentive stock planning• Demo device budgets & execution• Store visits• QMP (Manufacturer funded POS and demo equipment) - comms, roll out and compliance

As the PAYG Retail Trading Executive I am tasked with improving the PAYG sales performance of the Retail Channel of EE. This feeds into many different department of which building and maintaining relationships is an integral part of the role. I have direct influence on Store Communications, Store Process and Policy and Stock Forecasting. I would describe my job as "The Middle Man". I take propositional and commercial information, break it down and decide how this would be best communicated so that it has the most impact in the retail stores whilst still having a relevant amount of detail. On large projects these communications must be signed off by various stakeholders of the projects / proposition before being briefed into the communications team.Similarly, I take feedback from the retail stores and push this back into the propositions, process and policy and commercial teams as usually the people on the front line have the best ideas. Also a key part is to act as devils advocate and come up with any possible barriers to launching new projects to make sure that they land successfully rather than launch with problems.Day on Day, Week on Week, Month on Month, Year or Year performance is looked at daily to analyse the initiatives we have implemented and then we discuss with the commercial team how successful they have been, whether this has improved volume and value metrics. Some of these metrics are visible instantly, some take months as they include measures such as tenure and average revenue per user (ARPU). Once discussed we suggest new initiatives and start the cycle again.

A test bed that has brought on most of the ideas that have gone into the role out of 10 dual branded (Orange and T Mobile) stores and finally 20+ Everything Everywhere branded stores.Whilst running my store I am also a Sales Coach for a section of the New Business Operations team. The team has grown to significantly out perform the main estate Orange and T Mobile brand in both sales and service measures.I started as a sales advisor working 22.5 hours and soon realised I am passionate about making customers happy. I worked in Northampton for 5 years without chasing a career and then one day an area manager inspired me to further myself.Within 3 months I was an Assistant Manager in a new store that opened in Wellingborough and in the first 6 months of opening we had averaged just under 150% on our 5 main KPI's.I then went on to fast track to Store Manager, where my project was to turn around an under performing store in Cambridge. I accomplished this with flying colours and passed the fast track plan.I then became Store Manager of Rugby in August 2008. Had a very good 3 months there after being selected to join New Business Operations and head up the Orange inside ASDA trial. After making the scheme profitable I was then asked to prove myself in the Flagship Multimedia Store.
