Chairman And FounderLoc - Light Of Change Jun 2014 - Feb 2015LOC - Light of Change is the St Peter's College branch of an initiative run by Rethaka Trading that aims to recycle plastic shopping bags to create new school bags that are given to underprivileged children around South Africa. Each bag is fitted with a solar panel powered light and battery.The committee was founded and lead by myself with a very successful year. The committee managed to collect 2886 plastic bags making St Peter's College the leading contributor in Gauteng to the charitable cause. With the bags collected, Rethaka Trading created over 120 recycled bags with an attached solar powered light which were donated to underprivileged youth.
