Responsible for managing the delivery of the Mayor of London's Major Events and Team London Ambassadors Programmes, two legacy programmes borne from the contagious volunteering days of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. London is the only Olympic host city to maintain its games-time volunteering programme.Accountable for an annual budget of £250k, complex contract management and rigorous procurement activities. I successfully built strong relationships with stakeholders including Transport for London, MasterCard, O2, Westminster City Council, Gatwick Airport, Business Improvement Districts, The Mayor’s Office and a wide range of suppliers.London is a buzzing hub for major events, with many people wishing to give up their time to support. I developed a major events volunteering calendar with over 25 major event partners achieving above industry-average satisfaction rates from volunteers and the public alike. Major event partners include London Marathon, Chinese New Year, New Year's Event Fireworks and the IAAF World Championships London 2017 Athletics.

My objective at Badminton England was to get more people playing badminton more often. My job was to make sense of that objective and to put in place a range of projects and events that helped to implement it. Through negotiation with leisure centres, clubs and other partners, I confidently made the case for badminton in order to increase profile and get more people playing. Much of my work revolved around product marketing. Through a variety of schemes and initiatives, I'm responsible for getting 800 more people playing badminton once per week.Event management is a long standing passion of mine, and one that I was able to exercise whilst in this role. The London Badminton Bonanza 2012 welcomed 450 players from across the country to East London a month before London 2012. Managing all aspects of the event from stakeholder management right through to sponsorship and onsite management was a fantastic experience early on in my career.

I was interviewed and selected as a Team Leader for the Athlete Services Team at the badminton events held at Wembley Arena during the London 2012 Olympic Games.I was responsible for managing teams of volunteers throughout the games to ensure that badminton players from across the world received the best customer service during their stay.
