I’ve been responsible for putting in place new brief processes to ensure any requirements are passed down from marketing, brand and social are as clear as possible so the team can better fulfill their needs. Aiding with the growth and development of the junior team members. Being a mentor in all things creative and technical, overseeing all creative output and ensuring the highest of quality.

This role required elements of my creative design background and my film production skills. I have been responsible for all the creative collateral for Mycarcheck/CDL. It has almost been a one-man band kind of job, whilst mentoring juniors, but I have enjoyed the challenge. I have overseen the entire rebranding of the company, from design, logo, tone of voice and style and brand guidelines as well as the marketing campaigns. This was recently made live late last year and has had great feedback.I could leave CDL feeling somewhat satisfied knowing I've achieved more than most larger teams in the same time frame. Producing and launching a brand new weibsite, rebrand, app, TVC and marketing campaigns. This is something I'm proud of.The highlight for me was to finally film my first TVC, I've been on many TV/Films productions before but I have never had the opportunity to be involved so heavily from the start. I came up with the creative, scripted and storyboarded, then went to an external agency to help refine the idea. I know a lot of people in the industry so I managed to pull together a really experienced crew to help with production. Whilst on set I was filming with the RED Epic Helium 8k as well as having input with the direction of the talent. I was the driving force behind the pre-production. I was also sole producer being involved with all aspects of production, I was responsible for styling, looks and feel, sourced locations and cast. This had its ups and its downs, it was great because I got to oversee the whole of the project and have my creative input untampered, but it was a lot of hard graft my end. It was a very technical shoot and although it wasn't a major budget advert (£80-100k) it was a very challenging one, but I thrived on the problem solving and technical side of making this advert.

My role was heading up the video team for Myprotein (Europe's No1 Sports Nutrition Brand). The role involves content planning, video strategy and designing the overall look, feel and style for the brand, keeping it consistent with designs brand guidelines.I was in charge of making sure the briefs have all essential information needed to produce the videos required. Pitching the creative briefs to marketing for approval and essentially over seeing every aspect from start to finish on each project, including planning, filming and some editing.I had a team of six junior editors/cameramen below me that I was responsible for mentoring on a day-to-day basis and helping them improve their skill set in all areas of production. After starting at Myprotein, the quality of what we were producing in terms of content and camerawork/lighting rapidly increased week on week.

Falkland Islands (Malvinas)

Five shorts and an extended film, commissioned by the Falkland Islands Government, to show the effect on the people of the Falkland Islands following the 30 year anniversary of the 1982 conflict.The films were to give thanks to everyone involved in the liberation 30 years ago, by showing how the next generation of islanders are living. The Falkland Islands Government showed it at the Labour, Conservative & Liberal party conferences this year. It’ll be on the new Falklands Government website soon, as well as being posted on all the veteran’s pages, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.Responsibilities include: Co-producer, Cameraman, Editor, Logistics Coordinator, Interviewer, Meeting Facilitator, Financial Controller, Team management, Technical Support.
