Project assignment to develop opportunities in furniture incorporating electronics.Conducted market research for strategic direction and developed solutions and samples with multiple suppliers, which were then promoted to our customers, focusing on one of the leading furniture brands in Europe and the leading brand in Australia. Worked closely with Sales and suppliers to achieve significant cost down and excellent price vs performance.Created test methodologies based on national and international standards and carried out quality control in factories.I did a deep dive into a new exciting material to enhance sustainability of furniture, and brought up new suppliers.

Lead marketing and marcom activities, and leading a creative team, reporting to the COO of the AAC Technologies (a $3B revenue company).Developed branding strategies for new technologies and solutions, focusing on optics but also involving acoustics. I conducted some partner collaboration, most notably with DXOMARK.Organized and lead all activities for tradeshows, both domestic and overseas, including Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona and Shanghai, CES in Las Vegas, Smart China Expo in Chongqing and China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai etc. Lead event companies through initial pitches, stand and exhibit design, graphics as well as on-site construction, set-up and quality control. I negotiated and organized sponsorships of IEEE and ISEAT events.AAC also held yearly events for our customers, where I lead design, logistics and ran the event on the day, ensuring a smooth customer experiences and directing the live event in terms of speakers, visuals, sound and lighting. I was also a keynote opening speaker at a couple of events. I lead our presence at customer events, such as Xiaomi Supplier Day.I lead the design of multiple showrooms, creating initial concepts for agencies, conducted design and construction drawing reviews and supervised construction. I worked set-up with my team and designed multimedia. I also lead the marketing effort for opening of our office in Tampere, Finland.Video and motion graphics was also brought into AAC, where I created storyboards, wrote scripts, directed both the animation studio and live shoots, and guided editing, colour grading and subtitling. I thoroughly enjoy video creation and created segments for a Xiaomi product launch as well as corporate and product specific videos. I also worked with freelancers for specific projects.

Focus on bringing AAC's latest technologies to market. From conceptual ideas through to product launch and initial customer promotion, I visualized and created our sales pitch.Technology scouting and market research of new manufacturing concepts for mobile device components, guided R&D in execution, and prepared all promotion materials. Supported our teams in technical discussions with our partners as well as drafting and reviewing collaboration agreements. Creation of business cases as input for strategic decisions.I lead promotion activities and messaging for events & trade shows, and represented AAC and presented our MEMS microphone offering and beam steering technology at the annual Qualcomm 5G Summit.Brought haptics into my role and supported R&D in discussions with partners.

Brought in new technologies and responsible for all 3rd party engagements within my area, and establishing relationships with industry analysts, startups, the investment community and telcos as well as some of the leading semiconductor companies in the industry.Ownership of our wireless power initiative and engaged with more than 30 companies across the industry and successfully positioned AAC as a major up-and-coming player. I lead our efforts with industry groups and was AAC's representative for the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), Power Matters Alliance (PMA) and Alliance for Wireless power (A4WP) [later AirFuel Alliance]. Secured new business and partnerships.Actively involved in the technical due diligence for the acquisition of WiSpry (a leading RF-MEMS company).Created the 'Smart Mechanics' concept, integrating mechanics, acoustics, antennas and tuning into one offering - which became AAC's 'first solution' and lead the way for the company's solutions business.Worked closely with our Marketing team to develop presentations, marketing collateral, as well as key messaging for tradeshows.

I joined AAC Technologies to develop the antenna product line and strategy, reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, and worked in a small team that covered all product lines of the company.Roadmap development and guiding R&D in execution were key responsibilities, as well as creating a completely new antenna promotion package. This also included NFC, where I conducted extensive market research, established development framework for R&D, and established and drove partnerships with NFC chipset suppliers.I established business opportunities and helped secure project wins with Microsoft, Nokia, Sony and Motorola for a range of technologies.Conducted internal technical training for our sales and account teams on antennas, RF and NFC.

Ownership and creation of new antenna technology roadmaps based on market trends, and guided R&D in execution through a development process, and I was decision maker for milestones. For all projects I also carrier out financial follow-up and developed business cases. My scope included conceptual technologies as well as manufacturing technologies and bringing up new suppliers. Overall project revenue was forecast to exceeded $65M.Participated in marketing activities and lead the preparation of marketing/presentation material as well as technical sales support for all our antenna and manufacturing technologies in Asia, securing new technology wins exceeding $10M in revenue.I was actively promoting our concepts and capabilities to Samsung and worked closely with our local Sales teams, representing our China capabilities. I secured new technology wins with LGE and lead our China-based teams through a successful supplier audit.Organized and conducted external and internal technology training sessions.

Responsible for promotion and implementation of new technologies, including tunable antennas and internal FM antennas for mobile phones in Asia, with special focus on Korean OEMs. Participated in the launch of one of the world's first mobile phone with internal FM antenna, Nokia 5030.Lead promotion of 4G antennas to Korean OEMs.Project Manager for developing new manufacturing technologies, focusing on 2-shot molded antennas, developing new plating techniques and auditing suppliers.

Responsible for driving improvements (CIP) within R&D as well as supporting test & measurement development and software systems. Participated in the development of a Time-To-Market (TTM) process and provided user and IT support as well as implementation of Enovia's PDM system SmarTeam.Specified and recommended test equipment purchasing and supervised day-to-day running and maintenance of multiple anechoic chambers and SAR testing equipment.Nokia NSR Audit site responsible, carried out internal pre-auditing, and lead the management team and staff through a successful audit with top marks.

Moving to China, I was responsible for antenna development for over 100 different projects with a total revenue of more than £100M.Lead the RF & Acoustic teams, focusing on team and skillset development of our staff, and building up a world-class R&D facility in Beijing. I hired, trained, and coached engineers and senior engineers and was responsible for growing the department from 6 to 19 engineers. I was actively involved in design, simulation, and mass production of antennas for the world's largest mobile phone OEMs, as well as strategy development and implementation.Designed a new R&D facility and arranged the transfer of the whole engineering department.[Laird Technologies acquired AMC Centurion in 2004]

Design, development, and testing of antennas for mobile phones, with focus on internal antennas. Also design of the then upcoming standards of Bluetooth and GPS, and the co-existence of these within a mobile phone together with typically a PIFA antenna. I lead the development of several international antenna projects. My role also included antenna research and concept development.Additionally, I developed working methodologies and design tools for the R&D department, including programming test and analysis software using MATLAB.Trained junior staff and mentored university students in their 6-month graduate work.[AMC Centurion later became Laird Technologies through acquisition]

I joined Allgon and worked on the new cool mobile phones and I designed, developed and tested of antennas. The work primarily involved early Nokia phones, such as the legendary Nokia 5100, Nokia 7100 and N-Gage. Designs focused both on external antennas as well as developing the new internal antenna concept for mobile phones. At that time, Allgon was the world-leading antenna company for mobile phones.[Allgon Mobile Communications later became AMC Centurion through a merger with Centurion Wireless]
