    After a successful UAT Analysis experience in 2019, I decided to apply for the Lead experience, which is the next evolution of this role. I was fortunate enough to be asked to return to Cupertino, California to take part in the Lead experience, but COVID19 put a stop to this. But I was later asked to partake as a Lead in a Work from Home capacity in 2021. All of this development had to continue to happen, so Apple made the decision to make it all WFH. I lead a team of peers in UAT preparation and execution. During the experience I designed and wrote test cases/scripts and acted as a cross-functional leaders of UAT projects.UAT Lead Career Experiences focus on team leadership. I worked directly with IS&T and Global Retail Support to execute UAT prior to implementation of these new features or systems to our stores.I worked closely with 3 other leads who all had other projects to look after, this being my first experience as a Lead, I learnt a lot very quickly from my tenured peers who had experienced this before. Another Lead and myself oversaw this project, working with 4 people from Canada 🇨🇦 and one from Spain 🇪🇸 Timezones where sometimes a challenge, but we managed it well and spent a lot of time on WebEx calls to talk through issues and resolutions. It was an incredible experience and introduced me a new way of working.

    Whilst all Apple Stores closed globally due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. I was put forward to support Apple’s Retail Contact Centre (RCC) team as a Fraud Specialist. This was a new role for me and had to be learnt remotely. Having never worked remotely before, it was a steep learning curve, but something I relished the opportunity to be a part of. I worked for the fraud team for 6 months due to the demand that was being put on the Apple online store. This experience was incredibly insightful and helped me gain a more global perspective of Apple as a company and brand.

This was my first experience taking part in UAT and what an incredible one it was. I flew out to Cupertino, California and started working on testing a new internal app that Apple was developing for its stores.
