I have a long track-record of delivering software to the marketplace in a wide variety of industries and applications, including: system software (database management and data management on new hardware), financial services (wholesale banking and equity trading), wearable computing, machine learning, construction project management, and health care. I've helped entrepreneurs move products from prototype to production and I've helped more mature firms fine-tune their engineering investments to align with their business goals. I've built and led start-up teams and I've helped establish teams to refocus on what's important to the businesses they are part of. I've participated in acquisitions as both seller and buyer. I've been the software engineering executive in multiple MIT Media Lab spin-outs. I've seen trends come and go and come back again. I believe teams can deliver on-time, in-budget and meeting the business's goals.I am deeply interested in how technology supports business enterprises, in the history and philosophy of technology and the implications of new technology for society as a whole.
