As Head of Economic & Workforce Development, I developed strategies that impact the labor force and economy in Illinois. This work included regular interaction with corporate partners, community leaders as well as regulatory, legislative, and oversight groups to drive progress towards a cleaner energy future. Oversaw the execution of community relations, engagement, and CSR initiatives. *ComEd is an Exelon company. Exelon is America’s largest utility and a Fortune 200 company.

ReadyNation, a national, nonpartisan business membership and policy advocacy organization, mobilized corporate leaders across industries to encourage increased public investments in “cradle to career” education that impact workforce development and the economy. ReadyNation operated under Council for a Strong America, its umbrella, charitable nonprofit. I helped grow the ReadyNation membership base to over 3,000 executives, was chief architect of its capstone Global Business Summit, established a special CEO Task Force, and contributed to billions of dollars in policy advocacy victories at both state and federal levels through the successful engagement, stewardship, and mobilization of business leaders around the country. With the launch of ReadyNation International, we expanded operations to include a global portfolio of networks of business champions for children in other countries. I served as a frequent speaker both domestically and abroad and also assisted companies to enhance their enterprise-wide corporate social responsibility initiatives.

As a nonprofit executive, my responsibilities included strategic planning, operations oversight, fundraising, and public affairs work consistent with the organization's mission of enhancing bilateral socio-economic, trade, and cultural relations between Chile and the United States (with a particular emphasis on economic development including FDI in South Florida). I also performed pro bono legal work including corporate reorganization efforts, contract negotiations, and assisting to secure federal tax exempt status.

As a seasoned transactional attorney with one of South Florida's oldest law firms (100+ lawyers), my primary areas of practice included general corporate and international law, mergers and acquisitions, and complex commercial contract drafting and negotiation. I also have broad-based experience across banking regulatory, commercial real estate, and intellectual property matters with a focus on cross-border dealings in Latin America.
