I worked on the data management component of the Integrative Biology project - building a multi-scale physiological model of the heart. I worked with an international team of computational scientists on the data format and storage components to enable the integration of cell scale and whole heart models, building a federated storage infrastructure for data sharing spanning the UK, US, New Zealand and Canada.

I developed an open source C++ library to enable the linux desktop KDE (http://www.kde.org) to read and write files from a distributed filing system GridFTP based on the Globus grid infrastructure (http://www.globus.org).
